Harington has mentioned in several interviews that Jon Snow's budding love for free-folk Ygritte and the romantic landscape of Iceland helped their adoration for one another bloom. The pair is due to wed June 23, 2018, by a hooded, Benedictine Monk named Father Chad in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
